Terms & Conditions
Minimum number of students
Each group course requires a minimum number of students to proceed and will run at Tertulia’s discretion. While we make every effort to deliver courses as advertised, we cannot guarantee this if the minimum class size is not met.
In the event that a course does not proceed, you will be offered one of the following options, in accordance with our refund policy:

A full refund of the course fee.

Transfer to a similar course at an alternative venue

Choosing an alternative course
If we need to cancel a course for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the option to transfer to a similar course at a nearby alternative venue.
Please note that if you agree to transfer to the alternative course and subsequently choose to withdraw, you will not be eligible for a refund.
If there is a difference in course fees between the original course and the alternative course, the following will apply:

If the alternative course has a lower fee, we will refund the difference.

If the alternative course has a higher fee, you will be required to pay the difference no later than the end of the first lesson.

Withdrawing from your course and refunds
If you decide to withdraw from a course:

Withdrawals made up to 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund when payment has been made by cash, bank transfer, or cheque. For payments made via PayPal (including debit card, credit card, or PayPal account), a transaction fee of 2.90% plus a fixed fee of £0.30 may be deducted.

Withdrawals made less than 14 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund.

No refunds are available for non-attendance.

For Private Tuition only
If you have paid for a set number of sessions:

If you need to cancel a single session you must contact us at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule your lesson. Failure to do so will result in the session being charged in full.

If you are unable to attend the agreed schedule of sessions, you have up to 90 days from the date of the first session to reschedule a new timetable. After this period, any remaining paid sessions will be forfeited and no refunds will be issued.

If you choose to withdraw for any reason, you are entitled to a refund of 50% of the total amount paid only if you notify us during your first session of tuition. No refunds will be provided if notification is received after this time.

Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be issued only to students who have attended at least 70% of the course in which they are enrolled.​

Cancellations by the Centre
The Centre reserves the right to cancel any booking due to circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, every effort will be made to offer an alternative date or course that is mutually acceptable. If no suitable alternative can be arranged, a full refund of all fees paid will be issued.
