Minimum number of students
Each group course requires a minimum number of students to proceed. Whether a course runs is ultimately at Tertulia’s discretion. While we always strive to deliver all courses as advertised, we cannot guarantee this if the minimum class size is not met.

Choosing an alternative course
If we need to cancel a course for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the option to transfer to a similar course at an alternative nearby venue.
Please note that if you agree to transfer to the new course and later choose to withdraw, you will not be eligible for a refund.
In the event of a difference in course fees between the original and the alternative course, we will handle it as follows:

If the new course has a lower fee than the original, we will refund you the difference.

If the new course has a higher fee, you will be required to pay the difference no later than the end of the first lesson.

Withdrawing from your course and refunds
If you decide to withdraw from a course:

For withdrawal made up to 14 days before the course start date, you are eligible for a full refund if you have paid by cash, bank transfer or cheque. If you have paid into our PayPal account using either your debit, credit card or your own PayPal account, a fee transaction of 2.90% plus a fixed rate of £0.30 might be applied.

For withdrawal made less than 14 days before the course start date, no refunds are available.

No refunds are available for non-attendance.

For Private Tuition only
If you have paid for a set number of sessions:

If you need to cancel a single session you must get in contact with us at least 24 hours beforehand to reschedule your lesson. Otherwise, you will incur the cost of the scheduled lesson.

If you are unable to keep the agreed set of scheduled sessions, you have a period of 90 days counted from the first date of the sessions to re-schedule a new timetable. Otherwise, you will lose your set of paid lessons and will not receive any refunds.

If you decide for any reason to withdraw, you are eligible for a refund of 50% of the total you paid only if you notify us within your first session of tuition. No refunds are available if you notify us after the stated period.

Certificate of Attendance
Certificate of attendance can be issued only if a student has attended at least 70% of the course he/she has enrolled in.

Cancellations by the Centre
The Centre reserves the right to cancel any booking due to circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer an alternative date/course that is mutually acceptable. If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, a full refund of any fees paid will be issued.
